How did we start?

Guildford Athletic Club

In existence since before the Second World War, the Hjorth Road Ball Club (as it was originally named) only had a small number of boys registered to play baseball.

Popularity of baseball decreased and in June, 1965 Hjorth Road Ball Club was given it's new name - ''Guildford Athletic Club''. Through the years it had grown to now encompass baseball, softball, volleyball and soccer, which made up a year round program for boys and girls.

Baseball has since branched off and formed it's own club under ''Surrey Canadians Baseball'' and volleyball has phased out. We currently have both the softball season from March – June and the soccer season from September - March. The club is experiencing continued growth in both sports.
