How Did We Start?

Guildford Athletic Club

In existence since prior to the Second World War, the Hjorth Road Ball Club (as it was originally named) had a small number of boys registered to play baseball.

Over the years, the club had grown to include baseball, softball, volleyball and soccer. Popularity of baseball decreased and in June, 1965, Hjorth Road Ball Club was given it's new name, ''Guildford Athletic Club''.

Baseball has since branched off and formed it's own club under ''Surrey Canadians Baseball'' and volleyball was phased out. Recently, softball amalgamated with Whalley Minor Fastpitch to create a new North Surrey Fastpitch Association. Guildford Athletic Club, often referred to as Guildford AC and GAC, now specializes exclusively in delivering high quality soccer programs to over 1200 participants of all ages and both genders. The Club currently has a fall/winter soccer season that runs from September to March and a spring/summer soccer program that operates from April to July. The Club is experiencing continued growth.
