Welcome to the Guildford Athletic Club!

GAC is a soccer club dedicated to providing boys, girls and adults an opportunity to play organized soccer. Opportunities exist for players to play from a fun-filled non-competetive atmosphere to the highest level the sport can offer. The club promotes learning through the sport in a friendly environment. Playing style varies and depends on the age of the player. Contact us if you would like additional information.

This is a personal message from our President, Tony Rebelo

Get involved! Become a volunteer!!

GAC, like most other sports organizations, is almost entirely supported by volunteers. It is a well-known fact that without volunteers most kids would not be playing in community sports today. Volunteers help subsidize the cost of children participating in sports. Despite this fact, most parents and guardians choose to not sign-up as a volunteer. Over the past years I have volunteered, I have seen a common set of questions most potential volunteers seek answers to before deciding to step up. In most cases these questions are not answered, so nobody decides to volunteer. I list some of the questions and answers here in the hopes to clarify them:

Q. I want to do my bit and get involved with my kids. Where do I sign-up?
A. Please sign-up using our easy-to-fill volunteer form.

Q. Do I have to become an Executive at GAC to volunteer?
A. No. You can volunteer as little time or as much you can afford to without becoming a GAC Executive. There is no pre-requisite.  Sign Up

Q. Is there a pre-requisite to the number of hours you are expecting me to volunteer?
A. No. You can volunteer as little as 1 hour one-time to multiple hours over a period of time.  Sign Up

Q. Do you require special skills to volunteer?
A. It depends on what you are volunteering for. Certain tasks may need skills (i.e. be familiar with common computer programs) while others may simply require an extra body to perform some tasks on the day of an event.  Sign Up

Q. I want to get more involved with GAC but am not sure how I can go about it?
A. If you want to put in the effort to help the club truly serve the community and the kids (isn’t that why we are here in the first place?), you can volunteer to become an Executive. A GAC Executive drives process and policy within the club and may also represent GAC within the District or even at BC Soccer. It really depends on how much you would like to get involved.  Sign Up

Q. I have more questions. Who can I talk to?
A. You can get in touch with Tony Rebelo.

I am ready.   Sign Me Up
