Fall Soccer Season Details:
Gear up for an exciting season of soccer! Our fall program welcomes players from U3 (born in 2021) to U18 (born in 2007). Here's everything you need to know:
Season Duration: September to March
Practice and Game Schedule: Practices are scheduled in the evening during the week, with games played outside regardless of weather conditions. There are no practices or games on long weekends.
Gym Sessions: U3 to U10 teams move inside to gyms for weeknight training sessions from mid/late October to March. Please note that gym times and days may differ from outdoor sessions.
Uniforms: Uniforms are provided at the beginning of the season and must be returned at the end.
Equipment: Players from U6 to U18 must have shin pads and soccer cleats to play. Gym shoes and shin pads are required for gym sessions.
Volunteers: Two volunteers are required for each team from U6 to U18.
Age Group Specifics:
• U3 & U4 Parent Tot: Enjoy one staff-led training session per week with required parent participation. Programs run monthly from September to November and January to February. Each session requires separate registration.
• U5 Jr Mini’s: Engage in one staff-led training session per week. Programs run monthly from September to November and January to February. Each session requires separate registration.
• U6 & U7 Mini’s: Participate in one staff and volunteer-led training session per week, with games on weekends led by volunteer coaches with staff support.
• U8-U10 Community: Join one volunteer-led training session per week, with weekend games led by volunteer coaches. Technical staff oversight is provided, and travel may be required for games.
• U8-U10 Development: This is an invite-only program with additional High Performance Academy sessions, staff-led and volunteer-led training sessions per week, and games on weekends. Teams may be entered into the PDS League with travel required for games.
• U11/12 Div 1: Invitation-only program with High Performance Academy sessions, staff-led and volunteer-led training sessions, and games led by staff coaches on weekends. Teams are entered into the BC Coastal Soccer League with travel required.
• U11/U12 Div 2: Invitation-only program with two volunteer-led training sessions per week, advanced players invited to High Performance Academy (extra cost), games on weekends led by volunteer coaches with technical staff oversight. Teams are entered into the BC Coastal Soccer League with travel required.
• U13 & U14 Div 1 & 2: Invitation-only programs with staff-led or volunteer-led training sessions, games on weekends led by staff or volunteer coaches, and entry into the BC Coastal Soccer League with travel required.
• U15 - U18 Div 1 & 2: Invitation-only programs with volunteer-led training sessions, games on weekends led by volunteer coaches with technical staff oversight, and entry into the BC Coastal Soccer League with travel required.
• U11 - U18 Div 3: Volunteer-led training sessions per week, weekend games led by volunteer coaches with technical staff oversight, and entry into the SFDA or the BC Coastal Soccer League with travel required.
• Metro U15, U17, U18: Invitation-only programs with staff-led training sessions, weekend games led by staff coaches, and entry into the BC Coastal Soccer League with travel required.
Clubhouse hours for registration assistance: Tuesdays from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00am - 12:00 pm

The Guildford Athletic Club (GAC) spring season welcomes players from U3 (born in 2022) to U18 (born in 2007) and also offers a program for men.
Registration Details:
Early Registration: Sign up early to take advantage of lower fees.
Fee Increases: Registration fees will go up on February 15th and March 15th.
Program Overview:
Season Duration: Runs from April to June.
Breaks: No games are scheduled over the May long weekend.
Weather Policy: Sessions are held rain or shine.
Uniforms: Provided at the beginning of the season and must be returned at the end.
Equipment: Players in U6 to U18 must have shin pads and soccer cleats.
Volunteers: Two volunteers are required for each team.

U6 & U7 Mini’s:

Games: Sundays, 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM at Hjorth Park (Staff & Volunteer Coaches).
U8 to U18 Community Players:
Boys’ Games: Typically Saturdays.
Girls’ Games: Typically Sundays.
Travel: Required for games (within lower mainland).
U8 - U10 Community:
Practice: One weekday session led by volunteer coaches.
Games: Played on weekends, led by volunteer coaches.
Oversight: Technical staff involvement.
League: May register in the Cascadia League, or other competitive opportunities. Travel may be required within the lower mainland.
U11 - U18 Div 3:
Practice: One weekday session led by volunteer coaches.
Games: Played on weekends, led by volunteer coaches.
Oversight: Technical staff involvement.
League: May register in the Cascadia League or other competitive opportunities. Travel is required.
U8 to U18 Select Players (Development Div 1/2 and Metro):
Registration: Players should register for the division they played in during the Fall 2024-2025 season to secure early bird prices.
Adjustments: Any changes for the spring season will be applied after registration.

Summer Soccer Season Details:
Join us for an exciting summer season filled with fun, skill-building, and camaraderie!
Our program caters to young athletes from U3 (born in 2021) to U12 (born in 2012). Here's everything you need to know:
Season Dates: July 16th to August 22nd (6 weeks in total)
Session Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Location: Tentatively scheduled at 10320 146 Street Hjorth Turf #2, behind the Superstore on 104 Avenue.
Program Overview by Age Group:
• U3 & U4 Parent Tot: Enjoy a 45-minute staff-led training session per week. Parent participation is required. Don't forget weather- appropriate clothes and running shoes!
• U5 Jr Mini’s: Engage in a 45-minute staff-led training session weekly. Make sure to come prepared with weather-appropriate attire and running shoes.
• U6 & U7 Mini’s: Experience two 45-minute staff-led training sessions per week. One day focuses on training, while the other involves small-sided games following our age-appropriate GAC Curriculum. Please wear weather-appropriate clothes and running shoes or cleats and shin pads.
•U8-U12 Community: Participate in two 55-minute staff-led training sessions weekly. Like the U6 & U7 group, one day emphasizes training, while the other revolves around small-sided games following our age-appropriate GAC Curriculum. Ensure you're equipped with weather-appropriate attire and running shoes or cleats and shin pads.

This shift from Mondays allows for more field space and a better training environment for our academy sessions.

(No HPA sessions on April 18 and May 16)

This program will run in two time periods:
• 5:00 – 6:15 PM
• 6:15 – 7:30 PM
Cost:
• $100.00 if registered by Thursday, April 10
• $125.00 for late registrations (after April 10)
Our Academy
Our High Performance Academy training curriculum includes a broad range of both technical and tactical drills, with an emphasis on skill development and decision-making. Led by our Director of Coaching, Tom Lowndes, and Director of Player Development, Ryan Donald, the HPA program offers individualized training within a competitive and supportive environment here at Guildford Athletic Club.

Tom Lowndes
Director of Coaching, Guildford Athletic Club
Head Coach, UFV Men’s Soccer
Tom is a dedicated and accomplished coach with a proven track record of success. He recently joined GAC as Director of Coaching and brings a wealth of experience. Since 2015, he has led the University of the Fraser Valley Men’s Soccer team to multiple accolades, including two Canada West Final Four appearances and a Bronze Medal. He also spent 10 years coaching at the BCSPL level with Surrey United, placing over 40 players into university programming — the most of any BCSPL coach in BC.
Ryan Donald
Director of Player Development, Guildford Athletic Club
Ryan was recently promoted to Director of Player Development. He is passionate about helping young players reach their potential. His experience across multiple age groups, combined with his playing background and coaching certifications, make him a key leader in the HPA program.
Ruben Castelblanco
Senior Staff Coach, Guildford Athletic Club
Ruben brings experience from all levels of soccer in BC, including work with the Vancouver Whitecaps residency and academy programs for both male and female players. His focus on technical development makes him an ideal addition to our HPA coaching team.

Goalkeeper Academy – Spring 2025
We are excited to welcome Matheus De Souza to our coaching staff for this season’s Goalkeeper Academy. Matheus brings a strong playing background and a deep passion for developing goalkeepers, making him a valuable addition to our team.
About Coach Matheus De Souza
• BCSPL Experience:
Matheus played at the BCSPL level during his U15 and U16 years before being scouted into the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency Program.
•Vancouver Whitecaps MLS Residency:
He spent four years at the Vancouver Whitecaps MLS Academy and made appearances in both the USSDA and BC League 1.
•University Athlete:
This fall, Matheus will join our Director of Coaching, Tom Lowndes, at the University of the Fraser Valley for his rookie season. He will be competing to become the team’s starting goalkeeper in Canada West, one of the toughest conferences in the country.
